Does anyone else wear maternity pants but regular shirts?!?
Question by Love being a mom!: Does anyone else wear maternity pants but regular shirts?!?
I know that this sounds weird!!! But I can't fit into regular jeans without using the "rubber band" method!!! So I have been wearing maternity pants! But I am just not into the maternity shirts yet. I swim in them. So I am going shopping today and going to buy regular shirts. Its almost summer so I want to get a ton of solid color tanks but dress them up with cute accessories. But do you think its tacky to wear tight shirts while pregnant? I have always been into fashion and I am loving my baby bump and don't want to hide it and I want to feel cute again!! I also want to show off my baby bump!!! Does anyone else do this? Cute to wear tight shirts while pregnant or not? Thanks girls!!!
i will be 18 weeks 2mar!!!
ohh the tank tops i buy are the long and lean kind. I don't want to look like pooh bear!!! lolll!!!!!!!!!!!
and BoHo is so in and those tops are rather flowy!!!!!!
yayyy i can't wait to go shopping today now!!

I am 29 weeks and I am still wearing some regular shirts. I can't wear regular pants anymore, but some of my longer/baggier shirts still work.

I think it’s cute to wear form fitting shirts…tight I dunno could be very uncomfortable for you.
I am only 15 weeks I am still wearing my pants but they are snug and you can kinda see something going on.
A lil belly is poking out I am with you though I want the belly out or in no more in between!!
lol
I wore maternity bottoms and regular tops throughout a lot of my pregnancy. I would buy babydolls tops because they fit kind of like maternity tops do or just buy a size bigger. I wore a lot of tanks during the summer like you mentioned. I didn’t think it looked bad to have more of a tight fitting shirt. Not sure what others think lol. But your pregnant so there is no reason you shouldn’t show off your baby bump!!
At 18 weeks I was already filling in my maternity pants lol. As for the shirts I have a few hanging around here that I wear that aren’t maternity shirts. They are a bit short on the bottom but they do the trick. What’s really nice about tanks is that they are kind of form fitting I love my tanks they really show off my belly, I keep hearing I have a cute bump so I’m proud to wear him lol.
i have maternity shirts BUT never seem to wear them in favour of my own longer tops, its not tacky to wear tight tops but it is to go wearing tops that leave your tummy bear for the world to see. If you can get tops that will cover your bump that arent maternity go for it! maternity tops arent all that nice anyway I find thats why they are sitting in my drawers abandoned for my regular summer wear
I think it’s fine. I wear some tighter shirts,I think it’s cute. I just don’t like the ones where the woman/girl’s belly is flopping out.
Congrats!
That’s totally okay!
I haven’t gotten around to getting maternity pants yet (still working the rubber band) but I don’t plan on wearing maternity shirts either. There are so many styles of “in” flowing tops out that you don’t really have to. A lot of cute babydoll, empirewaisted sundresses too.
I personally love the Tshirt-ed bump look, it’s adorable. Maybe towards the end of pregnancy I might go for more loose fitting but not yet. I still wear all my regular shirts even with my growing bump. =)
I wear some of my regular shirts with my maternity pants, but only the ones that are long enough to cover the elastic waist. tight doesnt bother me, but seeing that 3 inches of cotton covered elastic does lol. i think as long as the pants dont have that, this is fine, but if the pants do have it, it just looks like you go dressed in the dark if your shirt doesnt cover the maternity belly of the pants.
congrats to you,i’m 15 weeks and i’m wearing maternity pants already i only have two maternity shirts and the rest are regular shirts i really do not like all the shirts i’ve seen at stores they just look for old people and not my style at all i don’t think i will be buying any maternity shirts right now i will stick to the shirts i have until my belly gets really big,i don’t think its tacky to wear tight shirts as long as it covers your belly i find them very cute.
