For those of you who love bikinis, Maternal America has some to die for styles out this season. This style looks particularly great in this season's hot Fruit Punch solid color and Flower Power pattern.
If you favor strapless, but still on the lookout for some hip and bottom coverage, then the strapless mini is a good choice. Prego Maternity's strapless mini comes in a selection of patterns and solids including a new First Bloom pattern with tapestry of hot pink and black flower blooms and swirling leafs interlaced with white.
If you're looking for more coverage and maximum support, then the babydoll style is a good option. Prego Maternity makes both a halter babydoll and the tank style in the positive babydoll which runs in sizes large-2X. The babydoll is an empire style top with a longer skirt which entirely covers the hips and bottom in a mini-dress style.
As for maternity cover-ups, check out Maternal America's new strapless cover-up in Carnival print. This cover-up is light, breezy and simple to wear. You can also wear it as a regular tube top. As for classic white and black, there's Maternal America's bestselling Maternity swim suits cover up with deep V neck and adjustable ties in the back. This style can also be layered over a fitted top or tank for an informal common-or-garden crown with jeans, capris or shorts.

Maternity Swimming wear has all sorts of great suits out this summer. Brands like Motherly America, Prego Maternity and Belabumbum have some to-die-for styles that make you would like to be pregnant, if you are not already, just so you can sport these looks! Here are some private favourites and bestsellers this season:
If you are looking or great mini, then look no further than Prego Maternity's Strapless Mini in Black Dots. Prego makes a very durable and well-made maternity swimming suit which is secure in the water and on the land. All Prego Minis come with a detachable halter string for an alternative look and a little added support for swimming. This strapless style looks like a pretty mini dress that you can swim in. This suit covers hips and bottom making a flattering silhouette with the mini style. Bottoms fit safely over the belly but aren't obvious under the suit unless you are swimming. The black dot suit in the strapless is a hands down favourite. However the solid black and chocolate in this style are also sure to thrill the crowds.
Maternal American's Jenni Tankini in Fiesta Print is hands down the winner for this summer's hottest maternity swimming costume. This suit simply has everything going for it. First this print offers a toothsome mix of patterns and colours from a connective coral theme of light blue and bronze accents. 2nd , this suit has a great body style with under the belly bikinis with adjustable side ties to an O-ring design strapless with halter ties. You can wear the halter bowed in front as a strapless or tied round the neck as a string halter style. Cups are padded and supportive with the O-ring ruching providing a beautifully classy center-piece centerpiece to this festive suit. This 2 piece adjustable suit with the bottom side ties and adjustable halter ties is simple to fit, even for girls who are a touch bigger on top or bottom as you can securely tie to fit both top and bottoms. Being adjustable is an enormous bonus when pregnant as your shape is always changing.
One more Motherly America suit this is super hot this summer is the 2 Piece Flutter Halter Tankini in Papaya. Both color and style complete this look which is sizzling hot. The Flutter Halterkini has a padded bra with adjustable tie halter strings that can be worn bowed in front for a strapless style or tied in back of the neck for a little additional support and style. The front ruching is really flattering in the bra and the mesh cross-over tankini is ideal for an expanding belly. The Flutter Halterkini style is a great cross-breed of a bikini and a tankini since you can show a hint of skin thru the mesh without baring all in bikini. It is also super cool and snug for delicate skin on growing tummies. This style is available too in black as well as a fun carnival print with a matching cover-up.
Next up for hot maternity swimsuits this summer is the Motherly America Josie Halter Tankini in the Flower Power print. Perhaps I am biased, but Motherly America has just nailed their prints this season. The Josie Halter style is horny and sweet with the classic V neck adjustable tie halter and side tie bikini bottoms. Though the Fruit punch and Sky Blue solid colours are super cute in this suit, the Flower Power print is simply adorable. The only drawback to this suit is that it doesn't provide a big quantity of bust support, so the DD and and women who are looking for a little extra lift, would be better suited in another style.
Finally, if you are looking for a sexy maternity suit that you can also nurse in after you have your baby or just to hide your postpartum belly, then look no further than Belabumbum's Nursing Swimming gear Tankini in Pink. This suit is super sexy in hot pink with a front tie in contrasting light pink. Straps are wide and supportive without looking heavy duty. Nursing access is from under the front tie and terribly discreet. The tankini is roomy over the belly and covers the hips. Bikini bottoms fit under the belly with masses of stretch. This is a suit you can wear with flair both before and after you have your baby.

- Deep V-neck swim cover with tie at empire waist.
- Imported
- Machine wash.
- 100% polyester.
While we all are congratulating ourselves on the changes that make it possible for us to be gloriously pregnant out by a resort's pool on our babymoon, let's not forget that, sometimes, you need a little coverage. Like sauntering (or waddling) over to the cafe area to order lunch, for example. Etiquette demands that our wet swimsuits (or bathing costumes, as my English grandmother called them) be covered up by something. And a towel, even a beach towel, will have a hard time staying wrapped around what used to be your waist when you're fully preggers. Treat yourself to this great top -- a deep vee and adjustable empire waist make it hot over a swimsuit, but positively smoking over a camisole at night. Enjoy your vacation -- it may be your last for a while!

Question by Pia: Can i wear any tank top with matching panty instead of swimsuit ?
I am 1 year post pregnancy. I have to attend kids pool pary tomorrow. I do not have swimsuit though. Can i wear any tank top with matching panty ? (is that what tankinis are ?). I am not much of a pool person and do not know swimming. i have to do it for my daughter.

You would actually wear your underwear to a little kid party? A tankini is an actual bathing suit, made with non see through material. You would be better off just sitting by the side of the pool in actual clothes.
